You voted, we listened: results from Visible’s 2023 member-voting program

The results are in... this Giving Tuesday, Visible is donating a total of $100,000 to nonprofits that our members helped select, plus additional matching donations for Giving Tuesday! That’s right – you voted, and we listened – and now we’re putting those votes into action.

This year’s amazing charitable partners all focus on using the power of a mobile connection to increase access to food, work and community – Visible’s three impact pillars.

When Visible members reach their anniversary, or “Visiversary,” they can vote on one of three causes – food, work or community – they’d like to see Visible donate to on their behalf. Based on this year’s member feedback,  Visible is donating $50,000 to U.S. Hunger to support access to food, $30,000 to Empower Work to support access to work and $20,000 to SAGE to support access to community.

Thanks to the voting power of Visible members, we’re also expanding our impact through a matching program in celebration of Giving Tuesday. In addition to the $100,000 total donation to these charitable partners, we’re also matching all individual donations through December 7 – up to $20,000 to each nonprofit - for a grand total of $160,000 that will support these organizations’ efforts to provide essential connections to food, work and community.

Here’s more on each organization and how our Giving Tuesday donations will support:

• Visible’s partnership with  U.S. Hunger helps fund their Full Cart® program, a virtual food bank that collaborates with key community partners to provide those in need food access with dignity and discretion.
• In partnership with Empower Work, Visible launched Connection Protection this year to help those who have experienced job hardships receive support in finding their next role, along with three months of wireless service with costs covered by Visible.
• To support the most vulnerable within the LGBTQ+ community, Visible invests in key SAGE programs, including the SAGE Hotline, which connects LGBTQ+ older people with friendly, trained responders who are ready to listen.
